Minister for Health and Family Welfare Sardar Md. Sakhawat Hossain has stated that expanding medical treatment alone is insufficient for protecting nationwide eye health, urging the immediate implementation of integrated and multi-faceted awareness initiatives.
Addressing a national workshop titled ‘Validation and Finalization of Multi-Sectoral Action Plan on Eye Health in Bangladesh’ at Hotel InterContinental in Dhaka on Sunday, November 8, 2026, the Health Minister emphasized that eye care cannot be treated in isolation.
