Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Md. Asaduzzaman has stated that the Rohingya crisis is not an issue for Bangladesh to resolve alone, but an international challenge that requires the active mobilization of the global community to ensure safe, voluntary, dignified, and sustainable repatriation to Myanmar.
Speaking as the chief guest at a policy dialogue organized by the Policy Research Center (PRC) at the CIRDAP Auditorium on Topkhana Road in Dhaka on Sunday, November 8, 2026, the Law Minister emphasized that simply returning the displaced Rohingya population across the border is not a solution. Myanmar must take full responsibility for the crisis it created by granting returning Rohingya full citizenship rights, legal protection, security, and access to education.
