The Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board has instructed all affiliated educational institutions to ensure that SIM cards registered under their Educational Institute Identification Number (EIIN) remain active and operational.
The directive was issued via an urgent notification on Wednesday (September 23, 2026), aiming to maintain uninterrupted official communication and seamless delivery of online board services. According to the notice, alignment between institution SIM cards and EIIN numbers is mandatory for secure digital administration.
The board emphasized that inactive EIIN-linked SIM cards disrupt essential official correspondence and prevent institution heads from receiving critical One-Time Passwords (OTPs) required for online portals and administrative tasks. Consequently, institutional heads have been requested to urgently verify and maintain active status for their respective EIIN-linked mobile connections.
