Night Temperatures Expected to Drop Across Bangladesh in Coming Days as Cyclone 'Murasu' Recedes
Bangladesh Meteorological Department forecasting a gradual fall in night temperatures across the country over the next five days.

Night temperatures across Bangladesh are expected to decrease progressively over the coming days, bringing a gradual drop in temperature despite no immediate threat of rain from Severe Cyclonic Storm 'Murasu'.

According to the official weather bulletin issued by Meteorologist Dr. Md. Omar Farooq of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Monday, November 2, 2026, Severe Cyclonic Storm 'Murasu' concentrated over the Westcentral and Southwest Bay of Bengal is advancing further northwestward and is expected to cross the Andhra Coast of India by tonight (Monday, Nov 2).

Under its influence, the weather across Bangladesh will remain predominantly dry with temporarily partly cloudy skies. The BMD forecast indicates that day and night temperatures will remain largely unchanged through Tuesday morning, November 3. However, from 9:00 AM on November 3, night temperatures will slightly decrease while day temperatures remain stable. On November 4 and November 6, both day and night temperatures are forecasted to drop slightly nationwide. Furthermore, the weather office predicted a more significant decline in both day and night temperatures after five days, signalling the onset of early winter cooling across the country.
