Following extensive interrogation, spot verification, and forensic analysis into the mysterious death of former Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) Flight Lieutenant KM Tahsif Suri, the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) has handed over his companion Ahmed Shahriar Reza Dweep to the Naval Police.
Dweep, who was picked up by PBI late Thursday night (October 29, 2026) from a residence on Babar Road in Mohammadpur, spent roughly six hours with Tahsif prior to his disappearance. On Friday (October 30), a PBI team led by Additional DIG Md. Enayet Hossain Mannan brought Dweep to the crime scene at Mazar Slum near BIWTA Boundary Pillar 29 along the Turag River in Tongi. Based on Dweep's statements, investigators recovered an unplated black Suzuki Gixxer 150 motorcycle approximately 3.5 kilometers away from where Tahsif's body was eventually found. PBI is currently cross-matching engine and chassis numbers to confirm ownership.

However, PBI officials noted severe inconsistencies in Dweep's statements regarding why they visited the area and whether any other individuals or women were present. Forensic experts are analyzing call logs and WhatsApp messages showing 10 to 12 contacts between the two on the night of October 27. Since the Naval Police is leading the primary homicide investigation, PBI transferred all shadow investigation findings, recovered evidence, and custody of Dweep to the Naval Police for further legal procedures.
