Gold Prices Rebate After Consecutive Drops; 22-Karat Rises to Tk 2.32 Lakh per Bhori
Following consecutive rate reductions, the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has announced an upward price adjustment for domestic gold, raising the price of 22-karat gold by Tk 1,050 per bhori (VAT inclusive).
Under the updated tariff, 22-karat gold has reached Tk 2,32,930 per bhori (11.664 grams), up from Friday's rate of Tk 2,31,880.
The new rates were finalized during a meeting of the BAJUS Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring at 9:00 AM on Saturday (September 12) and took effect at 10:00 AM the same day.
The price of 21-karat gold has been set at Tk 2,22,491 per bhori, while 18-karat gold now stands at Tk 1,91,056 per bhori. Gold sold under the traditional system is priced at Tk 1,56,064 per bhori.
Meanwhile, silver prices remain unchanged across all categories. The price of 22-karat silver stands at Tk 5,016 per bhori.
Additionally, 21-karat silver is priced at Tk 4,782 per bhori, 18-karat silver at Tk 4,082 per bhori, and traditional-method silver remains at Tk 3,091 per bhori.
