NCP Senior Joint Convenor Nasiruddin Patwary Urges PM Tarique Rahman to Beware of Awami League Influence
Nasiruddin Patwary calling for government accountability and youth-driven governance at the National Youth Conference 2026.

Senior Joint Convenor of the National Citizen Party (NCP) Nasiruddin Patwary delivered a stern warning to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, characterizing the Awami League as a "cobra" and advising the government to thoroughly re-verify intelligence reports regarding ministry officials maintaining covert ties with the former ruling party.

Addressing the National Youth Conference 2026 organized by Jatiya Jubo Shakti on Sunday, November 1, 2026, in Dhaka under the theme 'State Reconstruction and Youth Employment', Patwary asserted that while the NCP respects democratic governance, it will hold the administration accountable. He demanded clear answers regarding public security, extortion, the ongoing energy crisis, and youth employment, warning that if the government fails to address these crises, the NCP is fully prepared to take to the streets and lead an alternative youth-driven government.

Patwary dismissed rumors of division within the 11-party alliance, confirming that member parties remain united on implementing the July Charter and prosecuting July genocide culprits. However, he strongly rejected traditional "yes-man" political culture and criticized alleged compromises where Awami League figures are freed from legal cases in exchange for money. He also highlighted the government's failure to protect Bangladeshi expatriates abroad—pointing to recent death sentences of two Bangladeshis in Saudi Arabia and rampant recruitment syndicates charging up to ৳20 lakh for Malaysia visas—while accusing the administration of partisan hiring practices via Chhatra Dal and Jubo Dal quotas in public institutions. The conference was presided over by Jatiya Jubo Shakti President Advocate Tarikul Islam and moderated by General Secretary Engr. Farhad Sohel.
