During inspections of fish, meat, poultry, produce, and grocery shops, officials detected several irregularities, immediately confiscating and destroying the jelly-adulterated shrimp alongside spoiled cucumbers and pointed gourds. Additionally, team members seized imported food items—including Mr. Noodles products, barbecue sauce, and banana essence—that lacked mandatory importer seals, while issuing formal warnings to shop attendants. Authorities also observed a widespread absence of price lists and the unauthorized use of red lighting over meat and fish displays. The market owners' association was instructed to rectify these compliance issues within 15 days, with officials warning that failure to meet the deadline will result in strict legal action during follow-up drives. The drive was led by BFSA Deputy Director B. M. Ruhul Amin Rimon, with Executive Magistrate Anupam Das Anupam providing legal guidance on-site.
