Prime Minister's Information and Broadcasting Adviser Dr. Zahed Ur Rahman stated on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, that attempts to create national instability are not limited to any specific month, but are likely to persist for as long as former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina remains alive. Speaking at a executive press conference in Dhaka alongside Principal Information Officer Syed Abdal Ahmad, the Adviser affirmed that the government is fully prepared to resist all such subversion.
Dr. Zahed Ur Rahman addressed the ongoing garment sector unrest, noting that minimum wage boards are traditionally instituted every five years (having been reviewed in 2006, 2010, 2013, 2018, and 2023). Although a new board was not legally due until 2028, the government took a sympathetic stance on living costs, inflation, and fuel prices by proactively forming a new Minimum Wage Board early. He emphasized that while genuine worker demands are being addressed, violent behavior on the streets is being driven by subversive infiltrators. Citing Home Ministry intelligence, he noted that politically inactive elements are utilizing substantial financial resources to finance sabotage, including cross-border linkages.

He asserted that police must act strictly within legal boundaries using proportional force, ensuring minimum disruption and safety for ordinary citizens. He expressed optimism that as genuine RMG workers recognize the government's wage board initiative and withdraw from street demonstrations, third-party instigators will lose the cover required to execute further sabotage.
