A participatory workshop was held at the Pirojpur Municipality hall room with the objective of implementing tobacco control guidelines and building a tobacco-free, sustainable, and healthy city. The workshop took place on Thursday (September 10).

 It was jointly organized by the Gram Bangla Unnayan Committee and the People's Development Foundation (PDF) under the project titled "Tobacco Control for Sustainable and Healthy Cities in Bangladesh."

Presided over by Municipal Administrator Mahmudur Rahman Mamun and moderated by PDF Executive Director Md. Rafiqul Islam Panna, the event was attended by Secondary Education Officer Idris Ali Ajizi, along with various administrative officials and media personnel. Discussions during the workshop highlighted the importance of controlling the use and promotion of tobacco products,

 increasing public awareness, and ensuring coordinated efforts among local government institutions and relevant stakeholders for the effective implementation of tobacco control guidelines.
