An allegation of attack and vandalism has emerged against opposing parties at the residence of a plaintiff following the receipt of a court notice regarding a land dispute in Saghata, Gaibandha. The incident took place on Friday afternoon in Dhanaruha village under the upazila. The victim, Md. Motiar Rahman, has submitted a written complaint to the Saghata Police Station.

According to a spot visit and the details of the complaint, a long-standing land dispute has existed between Motiar Rahman and his neighbor Mozammel along with his associates in Dhanaruha village. Consequently, Motiar Rahman filed a case under the Land Crime Prevention and Redress Act at the Saghata Executive Magistrate Court (Case No. 95/2026). The court subsequently issued a show-cause notice against the opposing party.

On Friday at around 2:00 PM, after receiving the legal notice, a group led by Mozammel Haq and his sons gathered in front of Motiar Rahman's residence. Motiar Rahman alleged that the group broke the lock on the main gate and forcibly entered the premises. During the incident, the attackers used abusive language toward Motiar and his family members. When his wife, Sajeda Begum, attempted to intervene, the attackers reportedly tried to physically assault her.
